Asweda wheat bag is a 100% cotton bag, filled with non-chemically treated, specially procured, whole grain, ‘A’ grade wheat that can be used either as a hot pack (heated in a microwave) or as a cold pack (stored in the freezer) for external application. Asweda wheat bag is a natural, safe and effective alternative for treating and managing aches and pains.

The cellular structure of wheat used in Asweda provides fantastic temperature retention and can absorb and distribute both heat and cold evenly, gradually ensuring effective pain relief. Asweda wheat bag easily molds to the contour of the area that is being treated.

The Asweda wheat bag is heated in the microwave for a set amount of time. For maximum safety follow the recommended heating time mentioned in the instructions provided with the pack. Once the Asweda wheat bag is heated it is simply placed on the affected area.

Yes. Asweda wheat bags can be used as cold packs. Simply place it inside a plastic bag and keep it in the freezer. After about 4 hours the Asweda wheat bag is usually cool enough. Our wheat is non-chemically treated ensuring you receive the best natural quality product possible. We have developed a treatment system that ensures our wheat is free from mold (fungus) and natural predators. Our treatment process is our trade secret!

Our heating times are only a guideline as microwaves vary as well as an individual’s tolerance and preference for heat. We recommend not exceeding the stated total heating time. Please note that older people and young children have a different tolerance to heat so the Asweda wheat bag does not necessarily need to be as hot as an adult may usually have it.

If 2 minutes is not hot enough increase the heating time in 15 second increments until it is hot enough but do not go above 3 minutes.

Heating above this time will make the Asweda wheat bag too hot and may cause damage. Asweda wheat bags emit heat slowly so we suggest checking the temperature by placing the Asweda wheat bag on your forearm / the back of your hand and leaving for 10-15 seconds. You will feel the heat gently increase and this is the safest way to determine if the wheat bag is warm enough.
Never heat for more than a total of 3 minutes!

See above. Some people innocently program the microwave for the wrong amount of time, walk away and do not realize until they come back.

Wheat is a food source, so predators like mice are going to try and find it. We suggest keeping your Asweda wheat bag in an airtight container or a sealed bag.

Many variables come into play. Generally speaking if you heat an Asweda wheat bag compress once a week it may last around 2 years or more. If you heat it several times a day, every day, you may only get 6 months use from the product. It completely depends on the manner of use.

No. Because we use non-chemically treated food grade wheat if you overly wet the bag the grain will sprout. You can use a damp sponge to lightly clean the outside of the bag. If the Asweda wheat bag compress becomes a little damp then place into the microwave and heat for the recommended time.
